Onai: Data Deletion Request

You can delete your Onai account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You have two ways to do it: directly from the app, or by contacting us.

Option 1: Delete from the app

This is the fastest way. It deletes your account immediately.

1. Open the Onai app and sign in
2. Tap your Profile icon in the top right corner
3. Tap Delete Account from the menu
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Option 2: Request by email

If you no longer have access to the app, email us at privacy@onaiapp.io with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account: email address, display name, and login credentials, deleted immediately
• Body metrics: weight, height, age, gender, and dietary goals, deleted within 30 days
• Meal history: all food scans, dish names, and calorie logs, deleted within 30 days
• Dietary preferences: vegan, gluten-free, halal, and similar settings, deleted within 30 days
• Dish suggestions and recipe history: deleted within 30 days
• Subscription records: removed from our system within 30 days; purchase history with Apple or Google is governed by their own policies

What is retained and why

• Phone number hash: a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your verified phone number is retained for up to 12 months solely to prevent abuse of free scan quotas. The original phone number cannot be recovered from this hash.
• Crash logs and analytics: anonymised diagnostic data retained for up to 90 days for bug fixing. This data contains no personal identifiers.
